With a successful venture like iPhones, you are bound to run into a corporation who attempts to try a hand at making a venture that is just as fashionable, just as chic, just as sleek, just as fast, just as powerful – basically all of the adjectives the predecessor had claimed to be. This is no exception in the case of Apple iPhones and Google Androids. Although both companies claim they have the better device. Which one actually does? iPhones have notoriously been seen in a better light due to the fact typically they are better and because of the positive light Apple is seen under. Androids are a bit newer to the smartphone scene and have had to build a reputation from scratch which could account for Apple iPhones undoubtedly being more popular than Google Androids, even though there tend to be happy campers in both places.

Although iPhones have great qualities, Androids should not necessarily be overlooked as a smartphone either. Here are some reasons why Androids can prove to be a better smartphone for your consumer needs.

Applications can be downloaded anywhere, not specifically and necessarily from one “store”.

All applications do not necessarily have to be approved in order to be on your phone.

Google Voice is not blocked (Apple blocks it for those who don’t know.)

You are allowed to design and/or personalize the phone you have any way you want to.

Twitter Widget gives you freedom to view messages from Twitter directly on the screen of your phone. You can also post your tweets from there.

Facebook Widget gives you freedom to view statuses on your home page and also allows you to update your own status as well.

YouTube can be searched and looked at directly from your main screen.

You have your choice of cellphone provider with the Android which means your monthly phone bill can be whatever you would like for it to be.

Flash Support.

A list of tasks can be done on any Android phone, which is not necessarily a feature that is guaranteed with all Apple phones.
